Unfortunately, the fires are back and the air quality index is at 8 and predicted to stay that way tonight.
We will once again have to cancel league games for Wednesday, June 28.

Sorry, have to reverse my earlier statement. The city has closed fields, apparently there is a glitch with their website and they can't post closures there.
Also, there won't be a BBQ at the Mansion tonight. People are still welcome to go, but the food deal won't be on tonight.

The Air Quality index is currently at 3 and forecasted to remain below 7 today. As such we will go ahead with practices scheduled for Thursday.

Observers Needed

Observers are needed for the LDSB Elementary Ultimate Championships which are being held on Thursday, June 15 at John Machin Fields. The rain date is Friday, June 16. Games begin at 9:00am and most teams will end the day at 3:00pm. The job will involve following the games on the field and solve and explain rules violations that may occur. They will pay $100 for the day and will provide lunch. If interested, please email Tom Bush at busht@limestone.on.ca

Rain Policy

When the weather is questionable please check the web site. I will post the official word by 4pm Wednesday to the web site, Facebook and Twitter. If you don't see a post by 4pm, then games are on as scheduled.
Please use common sense. If games are on and we get hit with a thunder storm, stop the game and use the Use the 30/30 rule: When lightning is observed, play stops and the time between the lightning and thunder is counted. When you count 30 seconds or fewer between lightning and thunder, leave the field and take the appropriate shelter IMMEDIATELY. Remain sheltered for 30 minutes after the last peal (or sound) of thunder.
Also, if the fields having standing water on them or are soggy and are likely to get damaged then stop the game.
