as of 4pm it has stopped raining (and the rain we had was pretty light)
however there is a 60% chance of rain for this evening so please use common sense if it rains between now and game time
if the fields are too wet and can be damaged, or if there is heavy rain, please cancel your game

schedule

the format for the summer schedule is as follows:
after the game on July 9th, teams are re-ranked based on their record in the first round robin
the bottom 2 teams of each Tier will switch with the top 2 teams from the Tier below it (ie. the two teams that finish 7 and 8 will switch with the two teams that finish 9 and 10; 15/16 switch with 17/18 and so on - # 1and 2, and 31 and 32 hold their ranking)
teams will then be split into 8 Tiers of 4 based on this new ranking - there will then be 3 more weeks of round robin play (July 16, 23, 30) where you play the other 3 teams in your new Tier
after this teams will be re-ranked again, the bottom team of each Tier will switch with the top team in the Tier below it
there will be one game using the ladder system on Aug 6th - 1 vs 2, 3 vs 4, ...., 31 vs 32 - the winner of each game moves up a spot in the rankings and the loser moves down a spot
at this point the teams will once again be split into 4 Tiers of 8 teams (based on the final rankings from Aug 6th) - each tier will have a playoff with Quarters, Semis and Finals on Aug 13, 20, 27th respectively

Rules Clinc July 14th

I've had some feedback this summer that leads me to believe that it would be beneficial to have a Clinic that is geared towards the Rules of Ultimate. The focus will be to go over rules that are often debated or misinterpreted with demonstrations to clarify the rule.
The clinic will take place Monday July 14th at 6pm on field 3 (St Lawrence college - fenced in fields) and will be about an hour long, There is no charge for the clinic, and everyone is welcome to attend.
I would also encourage every player to have a look at the official rules - you can find all you need by clicking on the 'Summer League' drop down menu and choosing Rules
