Summer League 2014 - Delayed

The City of Kingston has informed us that due to weather and wetness, all city-run fields will remain closed until June 1. As a result, we've had to push back registration night and the first game of the season by two weeks. So the new dates are:
Registration Night: Wednesday May 28 at 8pm at the Mansion
First Game of the Season: Wednesday June 4 (time and field TBD)
We're sorry for the bad news, but unfortunately there's nothing we can do about it -- this is something that is affecting leagues throughout the city. There will be pick-up at Nixon field (which we can use because it's artificial) at 6pm on May 28, please come out and play if you can.
Please do plan to come to the Mansion for registration Wednesday May 28 at 8pm so that you can meet your team, collect your shirt, and enjoy the first BBQ of the season. We'll also be handing out cones to captains. The Mansion is located at 506 Princess, just west of University (beside the Beer Store):

Spring League 2014
Game Cancelled Tonight

Given the immense amount of rain we are supposed to get this evening coupled with the rather cool temperature, the game tonight will be cancelled. However, we will make up this game on Wednesday, May 21.
For those of you paying attention to your calendar you may notice that this conflicts with the start of summer league. However, we just received bad news from the city that all of their grass fields will be out of service until June 1, which means the first summer league game will be pushed to Wednesday, June 4th. There will be an email sent out to all those in summer league going into further detail about this.
I'm sure the Mansion will still be happy to host any and all wishing to take advantage of the free nachos, so head there for 7:30pm to have a social with your team.

Help Still Needed
Regional Tournament July 12/13

Kingston Ultimate in partnership with ODSA and Tourism Kingston are hosting the Ontario Ultimate Championships, which is a qualifying tournament for the Canadian Ultimate Nationals. The tournament is being held in Kingston on July 12th and 13th, and teams that qualify will go on to play in the national tournament being held in Waterloo in mid August.
We are looking for volunteers to help with field set up and take down, score keeping, setting up and maintaining field provisions and a host of other things. If you are interested in helping out, or for more details, please use the Contact link to send me an email.
We are setting up volunteer schedules in 4 hour blocks so even if you are only available to help for one 4 hour block, the help is greatly appreciated.
