Glory!2012 - Aug. 25/26
Mixed Master Tournament

This tournament is for a team of players all aged 33+ (no crazy math; just your ID) that will be coinciding with the Canadian Wakeboard Open (canadianwakeboard.ca). Participating in the Glory!2012 also gives you (and we're working on more):
-2 days of game play against your peers
-Field food and a cold beer after the Saturday games
-3 day VIP access pass to the Molson Canadian Wakeboard Festival (P.S. children 13 and under free)
-Access to the Monster Cable Backstage VIP Area
-Free/Front of the line entry to the Legendary Athlete VIP Party at the Venue on Saturday night
The same weekend will also see the Peterborough Folk Festival (ptbofolkfest.com) in full swing. There's lots of entertainment for everyone!
So gather a group of your finely aged friends seeking glory and submit your bid before it's too late. Gender ratio will be 4 men and 3 women. Team bids are $525 for a team of up to 15 people (additional people will be charged a per head rate for the weekend pass). Bid submissions may be submitted by email money transfer to pul.glory@gmail.com or by cheque made out to "Peterborough Ultimate League" (sent c/o John Desbiens, Tournament Director, 429 Downie Street, Peterborough, Ontario, K9H 4J5.)

Heart and Stroke Walk/Run

The Heart and Stroke Foundation is hosting an annual Walk/Run fundraiser on July 28th at City Park. If you are interested in participating click on the link for more information.
Time: 10AM
Place: City Park (Barrie + King)
What: Walk/Run/Bike 2, 4 or 8km
How: register for "Walk to the Beat!" online at www.fitforheart.ca and try to fundraise at least $50.

Volunteers Needed

I have been asked by the Summer Camp Coordinator for the City of Kingston to see if we can put together a few volunteers to do a demonstration of Ultimate and then follow up with some coaching for the kids.
They are hoping to do this the week of July 30 - Aug. 3 (presumably during the day, but I need to narrow down the timing).

Summer Pick Up

Starting the week of May 21 and running until the end of August, pick up will be at St. Lawrence College (fenced in fields) Monday and Friday evenings from 6-8pm
Everyone is welcome to play even if you are not in the league.
There will be pick up Monday, May 28 as well as the clinic.
