Fall League Updates

Posted by Noah on September 22, 2010

A couple updates re: fall league:

  1. Joel has set us up with a deal at the Mansion for after Wednesday games -- for every 5 people, we'll get a free order of nachos. Plan to come out if you can.
  2. Our weather policy for fall league is that games go ahead unless there's sustained heavy rain or lightning (so light rain or the occasional downpour is okay, as long as there's no lightning). If we have to cancel games on any night, we'll let you know at 4pm that day. If you don't hear anything, games are on.

Fall League

Posted by Noah on August 30, 2010

Fall league will start Wednesday September 15, and will run every Wednesday at 5:30 at McCullough Park through the end of October. Registration for fall league will open soon -- we'll post to the website / Twitter / Facebook and send an email to the mailing list when registration opens.

To show our appreciation for your patience with the weather and BBQ issues over the course of summer league, we're going to offer free registration for fall league for anyone who was registered for summer league. Make sure that when you register you use the same email address you used for summer league, so that we can tell that you're the same person. For anyone who didn't play summer league, the cost for fall league registration will be $20, which includes insurance.

End-of-season Party

Posted by Noah on August 30, 2010

This Wednesday night's BBQ at the Elysium will also be our end-of-season party. We'll recognize the team that finishes first, hand out some individual awards, etc. We'll do the awards stuff a bit later than we have in previous years, around 10pm, so that everyone except for the four teams playing the 9:40 game can be there. (For those playing at 9:40, please plan to come to the Elysium when you're done.)

Thanks everyone for your patience with the weather this season, and with the occasional unpredictability around the BBQ. Keep an eye out for information about fall league.
